Middlesex Internal Fashion Show 23rd April 2010

Final collection...part one

The Middlesex Internal Fashion show took place on the 23rd of Arpil, at Hendon Campus. 52 students showed within the main reception. Here are some of the photos of my first three outfits. I am now to make my next three for the Truman show on Brick lane, 3rd June alongside 23 other students from the BA Fashion Course, Mdx.

Pre-collection...onto Final

Before the christmas break my pre-collection was completed. I produced two outfits comprising of a white mac, white shirt and black slim fit trousers, the second a coat-dress made of metal- stainless steel. The coat was based on a biker jacket with sculptural elements created through drapery, along with leggings and 'swimwear' inspired bodysuit.

My main influences are the Russian Constructivists, such as Rodchenko and Stepanova.

Photoshoot- Pre-collection 2009

Photoshoot by Michael Golding (michaelgolding@live.co.uk)

2010

Photos have arrived, am pleased, particulary with the coat shots both have come out well.

Photos will be sent to the sponsor of the metal mesh, Plastok.

Plastok, being the company that allowed me to use such an unusual and fascinating material. Although a different effect was achieved, than the one I hoped, I know through trial and error and resolution, a more perfected garment could be made.
